That office was first located in an underserved area near Fordham University in the Bronx. Rose Hill was founded to offer affordable high-quality psychological services to underserved populations at prices that made them accessible to more people. Rose Hill’s services were so well-received, they have been able to expand to three offices, including one on the Upper West Side of Manhattan and another in Mohegan Lake, New York. Besides being a co-founder of Rose Hill Psychological Services beginning in 2007, where he is a senior psychologist, Dr. Michael Civin also works out of a private practice that serves patients in Astoria, Manhattan, and Bayville areas of New York..
At the heart of his entire career is Dr. MichaelCivin’s significant commitment to education. He graduated from Harvard in 1968 with his A.B. degree, which he earned cum laude. He earned his first Master of Arts degree in 1970 from the University of Oregon and his second, in Clinical Psychology from the Gordon F. Derner Institute of Advanced Psychological Studies at Adelphi University in 1986. He stuck with Adelphi and earned his Ph.D. and a medical degree from the Pennsylvania Institute Of Straight Chiropractic in 1988. At various times over the years, Dr. Michael Civin has served as a professor, faculty member, and associate professor at many institutions of higher learning. He also has written and published many journal articles and book chapters.
